Rules of use for the photo competition.

By uploading photos to the Photo competition, you automatically agree to the present terms and conditions.

No disturbing photos
You have a lot of freedom with the photo competition, but there are rules. Disturbing and/or explicit photos, in whatever form, will be removed and the participant blocked from any further participation in the photo competition. When uploading photos, users must show respect for others, therefore: no incitement, no discrimination, no abusive gestures, etc. Should you have any questions or complaints regarding photos which have been uploaded, please report the user of the specific photos. This may be done by clicking on the ‘report this user’ link under the photo.


Duration of placement
In principle all photos will remain in the competition until removed by the owner or the competition editor. We reserve the right to remove photos from the competition without reason or notification.


Copyright

1. We assume that all photos uploaded by participants are the legal property of those who upload them. Photos which do not adhere to these rules will be removed.


2. All photos remain the property of the participants/photographers. We have the right to re-use the photos for promotional or other purposes.

Privacy
Each participant is responsible for the photo he/she places and for the privacy of those depicted in the photos. Please bear this in mind when uploading photos for the competition.

By uploading and publishing your photo(s) for the photo competition you agree that your personal details may be used in relation to the competition. This allows us to inform if you have won a prize. The use of your personal details is governed by the appropriate privacy legislation.


Liability exemption
We shall take the utmost care in judging the photos for the competition, however we are in no way liable for the content of the photos.


Competition Conditions

Competition
Our jury will pick a winner from the most highly rated photos. The average rating and the amount of people who have voted for a photo shall not formally influence the decision of the jury; however, it may be seen as important advice for the jury. At the end of the competition the winners shall receive a letter or email with details of the prize they have won.


Conditions

• Anyone may take part in the competition. Minors may receive prizes providing they have permission from their parents or guardian to do so.


• You may take part in the competition as many times as you wish, providing you send in a different photo. Only one prize shall be awarded to a household and/or address.


• Prizes are not transferable.


• Participants may not exchange the prize for cash, an alternative prize, or price reduction.


• We reserve the right to choose an alternative prize for the winner of the competition.


• We cannot be held liable for unforeseen circumstances caused by third parties: for instance, the delivery of the prizes etc.


• All prize winners shall receive notice of their prize by letter or email.


• Personal details shall be handled confidentially. Prize winners shall agree, by participating in the competition, that their name and town/city of residence shall be published as winners of a prize.


• If there is any suspicion of improper use, fraud, or any other unlawful and illegal use of the photo competition, participants shall be removed from the competition immediately and without prior notice.


• The decision of the jury is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding their decision.
